The standard sizes for the sediment and carbon pre-filters are 2.5" in diameter and 9.75" long. They have a cylindrical hole in the middle running from one end to the other:
On most systems, the post-filter comes encapsulated in its own housing and looks like this:
so it is not necessary to exactly match your current filter. We can send you a good substitute. However, if your post-filter is the same size as your carbon pre-filter, let us know and we can give you a substitute.
With regard to membranes,
- if you are not on chlorinated water, you can use a TFC membrane;
- if you are on chlorinated water, you must have a good carbon pre-filter (which removes chlorine) in order to use a TFC membrane. Otherwise, you must use a
CTA membrane (or add a carbon pre-filter).
